What’s a Rich Text element?

This is a subheading and where it goes in the document flow

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content. A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

NDIS Certification Audit Process

The NDIS Certification audit process is for those providers offering higher risk or more complex supports.

A certification audit is completed for providers who offer supports and services considered as high risk or more complex.

In a certification audit, providers are assessed against the NDIS Practice Standards Core Module and any other supplementary modules relevant to the supports they deliver.

1

Sign with JPS

One of our NDIS specialists will send an electronic proposal outlining the terms and the details of the process.

2

Submit documentation

After having signed with JPS, we will assign you an auditor and audit date. You will also receive a designated Client Services Officer who will assist you in the preparation of your audit documentation.

3

Stage 1 Audit

Our Stage one Audits are usually completed as off-site Audits. You’ll need to provide a completed self-assessment to your assigned JPS auditor for review along with documents such as policies and procedures.

4

Audit Stage 1 report is written

Following the stage 1 audit, a review will be conducted and a stage 1 report will be provided to you at this point planning of a stage 2 assessment will start

5

Stage 2 audit

Stage 2 Audits are completed onsite for certification audits.
Our Auditors will visit your NDIS Provider office and observe and interview staff and participants.
Our assessors will also assess compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards through document review.

6

Audit Stage 2 report is written

Following the stage 2 audit visit a Stage 2 Report will be prepared and sent to you as draft for your feedback.

7

Audit reports, documents and findings are uploaded to the Commission portal

Once we have your feedback the audit report will be finalised and sent to the Commission along with our assessment of your certificate of certification, or notification as to why we were unable to certify.

8

The Commission comes to a decision on registration

While a certificate of certification from a JPS auditor  is used by the NDIS Commission to determine whether an organisation should be registered or not, registration is solely determined by the NDIS Commission at their discretion.

9

Midterm audit after 18 months

A mid-term spot check during the certification period keeps everyone on their toes across the business, ensuring that quality support and services are provided all the time, every time! This, in turn, gives you the peace of mind that your staff are always upholding your reputation and performing their duties well.
Mid-Term audits by JPS instil confidence in top organisations and ensure they’re meeting requirements for full certification

10

Recertification after 3 years of registration

Registered NDIS Providers must undergo Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits every three years to have their Certificate of registration renewed. However newly registered NDIS Providers that fit into the certification assessment category are required to undertake surveillance audits every 18 months.

What you'll need

NDIS providers offering services and supports in the High Intensity Daily Personal Activities registration group will undergo assessment based on the High Intensity Supports Skills Descriptors (HISSD).

To complete the certification audit, the provider needs to engage with JPS Audit Specialist for assessment. This process involves document reviews, site visits, and interviews with NDIS participants and workers.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does an audit take?

This ultimately depends on the type of audit you need, your audit readiness, and the size of your company. There is a preparation process prior to the audit commencing, which can be completed at your own pace. In most cases, the audit itself can be a relatively short process, usually from 1 day, to 3 or 4. Once the audit is completed, there is a 2 to 4 week period for us to finalise your audit report and submit this to the NDIS Commission for approval.

How much does an audit cost?

The cost of an audit depends on the amount of work we have to do in order to assess your organisation against the NDIS Practice Standards. Prices vary based on:

  • the registration groups delivered and associated modules
  • audit type
  • the number of staff
  • the number of participants you provide services to
  • the number of sites or outlets that you have

We are more than happy to provide a free no obligation quote so feel free to book a call or chat directly. Please have your 'Initial Scope of Audit' document ready when you call. You can upload it here.

How do I choose my auditor?

Ultimately, choosing and engaging an auditor is up to you. There are a number of organisations such as JPS Audit Specialists across Australia that have been appointed as NDIS Approved Auditing Bodies. Once you have your 'Initial Scope of Audit', you can contact us to find out how we would conduct your audit and what we would charge. The audit process can often feel quite daunting and selecting your audit body is an important decision. You want to select an experienced audit body that you feel most comfortable working with. You can book in a call to speak with us here. If you have your Initial Scope of Audit ready you can upload it to our website to receive a no-obligation quote.

How do I know what modules I will need to be assessed against?

The types of support and services you deliver will determine which modules you will be assessed against. You can find out more here.

What is an 'Initial Scope of Audit'?

An 'Initial Scope of Audit' summarises the registration requirements that apply to your organisation. It is provided by the NDIS Commission after you have completed your application for registration. It will outline whether you require a ‘verification’ or ‘certification’ audit and what your organisation needs to demonstrate to comply with the relevant NDIS Practice Standards. You can find an example of an Initial Scope of Audit here. Please have this document ready when you reach out to us. You can upload it to our website here.

Will my audit be onsite or offsite?

Stage Two audits typically take place onsite, whenever feasible. However, exemptions can be sought for circumstances where an onsite visit may not be possible or suitable.

Quality auditors may conduct certain parts of the audit remotely using technology to engage with workers and individuals with disabilities.
